Grace's story

Grace W. is 35 years old and a married lady. Her husband is a contractor. They have three children aged six to sixteen years old. They hope to give their children a good education at the university level.

Grace's business is located in Isinya Town in Kitengela opposite the PCEA church. She owns a posho mill where she makes maize flour. She sells the flour to the people in the area, especially flower farm employees and other casual labourers. She has been involved in this business for the last four years. She says that this business is profitable. The only major challenge she has is the lack of enough flour to meet her customers' demands.

She is using her loan of Kes 80,000 to buy paper packages to pack the flour she makes to improve the service she provides to customers. In the future, she hopes to move to a better location and grow her business. She describes herself as welcoming and strict.
