A loan helped to buy medum-sized chickens, maize, and chicken feed.

Clarisse's story

Clarisse is a young mother at twenty-eight. She is married; the couple has two children. They live in a village on the outskirts of a city in the home they own. Clarisse has raised chickens for some time now. Her husband operates a rickshaw.

Clarisse has partnered with Vahatra recently in order to contract loans. She has already been able to purchase a calf with her gains.

With this new loan, Clarisse plans to increase her flock of chickens in order to earn more. She will purchase medium-sized chickens as well as chicken feed and maize for them. After a few months of fattening them up, she will resell them at the local market.

Clarisse wants to save her earnings in order to one day improve her family's quality of life. She hopes to have the support of Kiva lenders.
