A loan helped to buy farming supplies and a scythe, and to pay labourers.

Silvana Nataly's story

Silvana is a humble woman from the countryside. She is a happy, responsible, caring and enterprising woman. She lives in La Chorrera community, 30 minutes from Maldonado parish, a place surrounded by nature in a humid climate. Silvana lives with her parents and younger siblings in a house made with Gadua bamboo.

For more than five years, Silvana has made a living and earned an income alongside her father growing naranjilla seeds. So far, Silvana has not known love but she dreams of one day having her own family so works very hard in order to have something that she can give to her family.

Silvana learned about Banco Visionfund, which loans to small-time entrepreneurs in order to help grow their crops, and so has come to the organisation to apply for a loan. She will use this loan to buy farming supplies and a scythe, and to pay labourers who look after her crops.

Silvana hopes to harvest a good yield.
