Ms. Rosa Lucinda B. is a member of the banking group Mujeres en Expansión, she lives in Cuenca, a city renowned for its natural beauty, its historical district, its rich gastronomy, the four rivers that flow into the city and the warmth of the people.
She has been a member of the banking group for 7 years and the loans she has gotten have helped her to grow her business and to provide greater economic stability for her home. She takes care of domestic chores and raises animals like chickens, guinea pigs and hogs, that she sells when she needs to make money. With her new loan, she is going to buy more chickens and animal feed.
Doña Rosa Lucinda is 45 years old, married and mother of 7 children, ages 25, 22, 19, 15, 11, 10 and 9. Her first three sons are married and live independently with their new families. Her fourth son works and his salary covers his personal expenses. Her three younger children all go to school and her husband is by trade a bricklayer. They do not own their own home and instead must rent. Her dream is to be able to buy their own home one day.
