A loan of $1,000 helped buy fuel for the boats.

Yolanda's story

Yolanda M. R. is 74 years old. She lives in the San Carlos neighborhood, which is located in the La Unión department. This neighborhood is found on the banks of the sea. That is where Yolanda learned her craft, which has been inherited for generations in her family.

When she was young she fished on a small-scale. Now she provides work for other people. They use her boats to go fishing. Yolanda later sells the seafood at the regional market in La Unión. Yolanda is a very hard-working woman. She puts forth daily effort to support herself and maintain her house. Because she lives alone, she does not have any type of help.

She is requesting a loan from Integral. She wants to be able to have the money needed to invest in the boats. She will make some repairs, and she will be able to buy a greater quantity of fuel to be able to put the boats to work. This is the way to work more efficiently. It will allow her to sell more seafood.
