A loan helped to buy a pig and 250kg of bran to feed it.

José's story

José, 24, is married and the father of two children. He is a pig farmer, and his wife is a teacher. José fattens and resells the pigs; his business has been going well for three years. José wishes to gradually expand his pig farm and increase his earnings. He wants to carry out large projects and also wants to have savings for his children’s education. He was aware of Vahatra for a while and began taking out loans for his pig farm. He used the profits to build their house. He needs this next loan to buy a sow and 250kg of bran to increase her feed. He is going to breed the sow and sell the piglets. He is hoping for support from lenders and is going to prioritise saving money with the profits he makes.
