A loan of $375 helped purchase a balanced diet and improve the housing for her animals.

Nilda Rosa's story

Nilda, 58 years old, is married and lives with her husband in the Pacora district, one of the districts that make up the province of Lambayeque. Its principal economic activity is agricultural, and it is more that one hour from the city of Chiclayo.
She raises and sells small animals, especially guinea pigs and rabbits. She raises them at home and sells them to her neighbors and to business people that sporadically visit the area. She feeds the animals natural grasses and grains, and she does this work to help her husbund, who is a farmer, with household expenses.
Nilda wants to improve her animals' diet to get a better sale price for them; therefore, she thought it would be wise to request for the first time a loan of 1000 nuevos soles ($375) from Edpyme Alternativa. She will invest the loan proceeds in a balanced diet and in improvement of the animals' housing.
Nilda is a hard-working woman. Her children are now independent, and she is very proud of them. Neighbors and acquaintances consider her an honorable and trustworthy woman.
