Wanatda's story

Wanatda is a single mother who lives with her daughter and sons in a Kui community in Surin Province, Northeast Thailand. Her family makes a living by cultivating a jasmine rice farm and a sugarcane farm in general.

Wanatda has applied before for a Kiva loan to purchase sugarcane varieties, and the occupation has been running well and is able to generate income sufficiently for spending on her family. Once again, she applied for a Kiva loan to buy sugarcane varieties and pay for laborers on the sugarcane farm.

The loan will allow her to afford a good quality of sugarcane varieties and sufficient money to pay for laborers. In the future, she desires to continue her occupation and generate sufficient income for spending on her family.
