A loan of $1,000 helped purchase plastic goods & beverages.

Dora Margarita's story

Dora is 47 years old and has a store where she sells plastic goods such as bowls, cups, and spoons. She lives in the urban area of Orquídeas de Guayaquil.

Dora started selling beverages and sweets, but this did not generate much income. She then decided to invest almost all of her savings so that she could buy plastics to sell. Now she works every day from 7am to 7pm. Dora sells bowls from $0.30/each, cups for $0.15/each, and plates for $0.15/each. On some occasions she sells in bulk.

She will use her loan to increase the inventory of her business by purchasing plastic goods and beverages. In the future, Dora wants to have a plastics distribution center and provide employment to young entrepreneurs.
