A loan of $425 helped buy a toilet and sink to install new facilites in her little salon, thus giving better attention to her customers.

Maria Auxiliadora's story

Maria Auxiliadora is a dedicated woman who has worked hard as a stylist for 10 years. At the age of 39, she has succeeded in having her own little business in her house, where she has a place to attend to her customers.

She started out working as an apprentice in a salon, and today her work is a source of income to support her family, a son who is a student and her husband, who works as a driver, since his salary is low.

Through these loans she has achieved improvements in her house. With the previous loan she constructed her kitchen. Now what she wants is to purchase supplies and construct a bathroom for the use of her customers, since they sometimes spend more than two hours in their manicures and pedicures and they need to use a toilet.

The materials she needs are blocks, sand, cement, zinc, a toilet, and a sink.

Achieving a better investment in her little salon, like achieving better personal conditions, is all made possible together with Afodenic.
