A loan helped a member to purchase three bales of secondhand clothing to strengthen her initial capital.

Linda Group's story

Madame Liliane is a client of the MFI Hekima and leader of the groupe villageoise Linda. She is 32 years old, married, and the mother of five children, all of whom are in school. Her husband is a delver.

She sells secondhand clothing. She started this business in 2006 with startup funding she received from her husband. Later she joined the Hekima program to support her business, and has been gradually growing. With this new loan, she will purchase three bales of secondhand clothing to strengthen her initial capital. The challenge for her business is a lack of customers.

She would like for her children to continue going to school and she would like to expand her business. Lastly, she thanks Hekima and its partners for their support of nonbankable businesses during the global COVID-19 crisis.

The photo is of the group leader only to comply with COVID-19 social distancing measures.
