A loan helped a member to purchase lace, which will strengthen her initial capital.

Tuungane Group's story

Madame Anna is a client of Hekima IMF and leader of the Tuungane village group. She is married, 47 years old, and mother to 11 children, all of whom attend school. Her spouse is a shopkeeper.

She sells miscellaneous goods, a business she started 20 years ago with start-up funds from her husband. Later on, she became involved with Hekima to support her business, which gradually expanded over time. With this new loan, she will purchase lace, which will strengthen her initial capital. The challenge her business faces is a lack of clientele.

She would like her children to continue their studies, and she hopes to renovate her house. Finally, she would like to thank Hekima and its partners for their support of non-bankable businesses in the context of the Covid-19 global crisis. The photo is only of the group leader in accordance with Covid-19 social distancing measures.

In this group: Anna, Jeannette, Josephine, Lucia, Ghislainne, Louise, Aimee, Mariam, Yvette, Therese, Aime, Martha, Venancia, Aimerence, Agathe, Esther, Anitha, Prencesse, Kito, Tulia, Joseph, Rosette, Kasamira, Melissa, Francine
