A loan helped a member to purchase five bags of used shoes to strengthen her initial capital.

Mafanyikio Bora Group's story

Madame Elizabeth is a client of the MFI Hekima and leader of the groupe villageoise Mafanyikio Bora. She is 31 years old, married, and the mother of five children, all of whom are in school. Her husband is a welder.

She sells shoes. She started this business six years ago with startup funding she received from her husband. Later she joined the Hekima program to support her business, and she has been gradually growing. With this new loan, she will purchase five bags of used shoes to strengthen her initial capital. The challenge for her business is related to bad merchandise.

She would like for her children to continue going to school and she would like to expand her business. Lastly, she would like to thank Hekima and its partners for their support of nonbankable businesses during the COVID-19 global crisis.
