Madame Adjowoa D. sells 'pagnes', colorful wax-printed cloth that is worn and used by the majority of Togolese women. Madame D. has been selling 'pagnes', walking through the streets and carrying them on her head, since 1990. She has requested a loan of 500,000 CFA in order to purchase more stock. This is her first time taking out a loan. Madame D. is a widow and she has one child.
