A loan helped to buy a sack of flour, a sack of sugar, yeast, wooden spoons, and a frying pan.

Solema's story

Solema is a 23-year-old single woman who owns and operates a small business of selling pancakes, pork cakes, and buns in her community so that she can earn a living. She has been in this business for more than two years. Solema requested a loan to buy a sack of flour, a sack of sugar, yeast, wooden spoons, and a frying pan so that she can continue her business.

She hopes to use her profits to build a small bakery shop in the near future. Solema joined SPBD in 2019.

This loan is special because:

It provides women with credit in a country where alternative financing is extremely scarce.
