A loan helped a member to purchase stock of clothing in bulk and basins which will reinforce her working capital.

Tusonge Mbele Group's story

Mme Hubertine is a Hekima IMF client and she oversees the village group TUSONGE MBELE. Mme Hubertine is 62 years old, married, and the mother of eight children who all attend school. Her husband is unemployed.

Eight years ago, she started her business with start up funds which her husband provided. She sells a variety of items. Over time, she joined the Hekima programme to support her business which has progressively grown. With this new loan, she will purchase clothing in bulk and basins which will reinforce her working capital. The challenge she faces with her business is tied to unpaid debts.

Mme Hubertine would like her children to continue studying at school and to expand her business. Finally, she would like to thank Hekmina and its partners for the support given to non-bankable business owners in the context of the global Covid 19 crisis. The picture is of the group's leader alone in order to respect the social distancing measures.

In this group: Francisca, Hubertine, Collette, Venaciya, Esperence, Hernice, Francine, Madeleine, Valentine, Cetrude, Malaika, Mwangaza, Marguerite, Wivine, Aimerance, Jeanne
