A loan helped a member to stock up on 3 bales of secondhand clothing, which will reinforce her starting capital.

Etoile Ii Group's story

Madame Kalimbiro is a client of the microfinance institution Hekima and belongs to the Etoile Li "groupe villageoise." She is married, 44 years old, and the mother of 10 children who all go to school. Her partner is a street vendor.

She sells secondhand clothing. She began this business 18 years ago with startup funds from her husband. Later, she involved Hekima to support her business, over the course of which she has progressively grown. With this new loan, she is going to stock up on 3 bales of secondhand clothes, which will reinforce her starting capital. The challenge of her business is linked to a lack of customers.

She would like for her children to continue to go to school and for her to grow her business to increase her income. Finally, she wishes to thank Hekima and its partners for the support brought to unbanked business owners in the context of the global COVID-19 crisis. The photo is only of the group leader due to COVID-19, out of respect for social distancing measures.
