Tulizana Group's story

Angel is a client of the microfinance institution Hekima and represents the village group "Tulizana". She is 64 years old, widowed and has seven children who all go to school.

Angel started selling spices 15 years ago with her own starting funds. Later, she joined the Hekima program to support her business and it grew progressively. With this new loan, she is going to buy sugar, flour, rice and detergent, which is going to strengthen her initial capital. The challenge of her activity is due to unpaid debt.

Angel would like to keep her children in school and to be able to feed her family. Lastly, she wants to thank Hekima and its partners for their support of non bankable business owners in the context of the global health crisis. The photo only shows the group leader due to social distancing measures.

In this group: Louise, Angel, Andre, Kagwera, Enoc, Josephine, Furaha, Izabel, Christelle, Jeanne, Rebecca, Fifi, Theodesia, Yvette, Dorcas, Providence, Clemantine, Rachel, Julien, Bernadette, Helene, Bonnefride, Afisa, Henock
