Amka Group's story

Mme Agnes is a client of Hekima and presides over the groupe villageoise, Amka. She is a 59 year-old married mother of five children who have all attended school. Her husband is a teacher.

She sells beverages and started this business in 2008 with start-up capital received from her husband. Since then, she has joined the program offered by Hekima to support her business and with which she has gradually developed as a businesswoman. With this loan, she would like to stock up on 10 cases of Fanta and Primus, which will increase her working capital. The current challenge to her business is connected to debts which have not been paid.

She would like for her children to continue their studies and also to be able to feed her family. Finally, she would like to thank Hakima and its partners for the support given to business owners who do not have access to traditional banking services during this global crisis related to COVID-19. The photo only shows the leader of this group out of respect for social distancing due to COVID-19.
