Sixteen people who live in Pou village in Takeo province have selected Mrs. Siv Ea L. as their village bank president. She was born in 1947. All the village bank loan members will use their portion of the loan for different purposes to improve their businesses.

Mrs. Siv Ea L. is a clothes washer in the local village, where she is able to earn some money to support her family. Her husband, Mr. Khea Heng, is a construction worker. Her problem is that her washing business does not have enough water to use. So to improve her business, Mrs. Siv Ea L. is applying for a loan to buy a pump machine to use to support her business. She is the mother of two children, both of whom are helping their parents’ businesses.
