A loan helped to purchase the necessary inputs to grow peas.

Richard's story

His name is Richard. He is married and has four children with his partner. Richard and his family live in a rural village, which is Richard's hometown. The family owns a house and farmable land.

Richard farms and raises animals to earn money. These are his only sources of income. To move forward, Richard decided to invest more in his businesses. He opted for microloans and chose to work with Vahatra, who has granted him several loans.

He was able to progressively expand the land to farm and have a bigger harvest. He was able to cover his family's expenses better and successfully put a little money aside in savings. He used his previous loan for pig farming. His profit allowed him to continue growing potatoes.

The next loan is needed to grow peas. He needs seeds, fertilizer, and phytosanitary products, and he is going to pay for labor. He counts on the lenders' support.

His products will be sold at the local market. He plans to invest in cattle farming.
