A loan helped a retired woman to pay for her knee surgery in order to recover and regain her normal activities.

Lize's story

Lize is a 62 year old rural woman. She is married and is living with her husband as their children live with their own families. Lize and her husband receive retirement pensions besides the little agricultural activity they do for their consumption and for selling. Lize has a cow from which she sells diary products and also 1 calf per year. She and her husband manage to cover their monthly expenses which are not too much.

Lize has been having continuous pain on her left knee and the doctor informed her that she needs to undergo a surgery. She has damaged her ligament due to the hard work she has done over the years, but she cannot afford the surgery and the therapy she needs to do after the surgery.

Lize is asking one more time for Kiva lenders' support in order to pay for the knee surgery in order to recover her health and feel better.
