Nancy Prudencia's story

Nancy has a business in the El Tejar zone where she sells seasonal fruit at wholesale. She acquires it from passing trucks and resells it. She has a small house she recently built in Alto Ovejuyo where she lives with her husband and children who are university students. One of them is already independent. Her husband is a private taxi driver who makes trips to Los Yungas (The Yungas is a stretch of forest along the eastern slope of the Andes Mountains from southeastern Peru through central Bolivia) during some seasons but mostly works as an on-call taxi.

She is a long-standing, responsible client who has been a Kiva client in the past. She is once again asking for a Kiva loan to buy fruits like papaya, mandarin oranges, coconut, etc. The rest of the money will be used for her husband’s vehicle maintenance and repair.

Nancy is a very hard working person who is always watchful of her family’s wellbeing.

Nancy’s husband appears with her in the photo.
