A loan helped to buy three pigs, 1000 kgs of bran, feed to raise his animals and straw to produce mats.

Jean Claude's story

Jean Claude is a 54-year-old man. He is married and has four children, two of whom are already self-sufficient. He lives in an enclave village, where the family owns a clay house. He is a driver. The couple has also been raising pigs and has a matt-making business.

Jean Claude is a good partner with Vahatra. With the profits he earned with his last loan, he was able to save money and to purchase a plot of land. He wants to expand his business in order to earn greater profits. He will increase the number of pigs he raises and expand his production of mats. He wants to buy three pigs to fatten, 1000 kgs of bran, animal feed to raise the pigs and straw to produce mats. He will sell his animals to local direct sellers and his mats at the large town market. He will continue to save money in order to ensure the future of his two youngest children. He hopes to obtain the support of the lenders for this project.
