A loan helped a member to buy pagnes in bulk which will increase her working capital.

Nyota Group's story

Mme Mamy is a client of Hekima IMF and presides over the groupe villageoise, NYOTA. She is a 42 year-old married mother of four children who are all in school. Her husband is out of work.

She sells pagnes [traditional cloth] and started this business fifteen years ago with start up capital she received from her older sister. Now she has become involved with the Hekima program to support her business. In this program, she has gradually evolved. With this loan she will purchase pagnes in bulk which will increase her working capital. The challenge to her business is related to a lack of customers.

She would like for her children to continue their studies and to be able to buy a plot of land. Finally, she would like to thank Hekima and its partners for the support given to business owners who do not have access to traditional banking services in this context of the global crisis caused by COVID-19.
