A loan helped a member to buy second-hand clothing, which will strengthen her initial capital.

Arome Piquante Group's story

Madame Melanie is a client of Hekima IMF and chairs the AROME PIQUANTE village group. She is 47 years old, married, and the mother of 8 children, all of whom are in school. Her partner is a businessman.

Madame Melanie sells second-hand clothing. She started her business 15 years ago with start-up funds she received from her husband. Later she became involved with the Hekima program to support her business, which has grown incrementally since then. With this new loan she plans to buy second-hand clothing, which will strengthen her initial capital. The challenge her business faces is the poor quality of merchandise.

She would like to have her children continue their education and to feed her family. Finally, she would like to thank Hekima and its partners for the support they have shown to owners of businesses that have no monetary value during this Covid-19 global crisis. The photo shows only the group's leader on account of the social distancing measures implemented due to Covid-19.

In this group: Melanie, Michaella, Delphine, Micheline, Esperance
