A loan helped to buy soles, synthetic leather, laces and glue.

Jaime's story

Jaime is a 64 year old micro-entrepreneur and resident of the municipality of Galapa where he lives with his family. He has been offering his services as a shoemaker for five years. He makes and sells shoes in a shop that is in a very good location. He started this idea for a business with capital he was given by the company he worked for and opened his buisness. This business allows him to contribute to his daily subsistence. He has potential customers in friends, neighbors and acquaintances who always come to him for the excellent service he provides. He dreams of continuing to grow and gain a greater reputation in his municipality. Due to the worldwide spread of the COVID-19 pandemic his level of work decreased due to health concerns and his income diminished dramatically. He is currently applying for his first loan from Kiva through the Fundación Mario Santo Domingo. His objective is to invest in the purchase of soles, synthetic leather, laces and glue. Support him with this loan for his business!
