Rosa Marlene's story

Rosa Marlene is an entrepreneurial 47-year-old woman. She is a resident of the city of Barranquilla where she has a stationary, corner store, and internet service business.

Rosa Marlene started this business about four year ago because of a lack of work opportunities.

She invested her savings to start her business. She has earned recognition in the area for being a hardworking and responsible person in her activities.

Because of health and safety issues, she had to suspend her work due to the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic. Her income decreased considerably.

She is currently applying for her first Kiva loan with the Santo Domingo Foundation to increase her working capital and buy merchandise like reams of paper, a bigger photocopier, and other items to be able to increase her sales and profits.

Support her in her loan for her business.
