A loan helped to invest in the purchase of meats, grains, flours, plastics and disposables, and beverages.

Luzmary's story

Luzmary, age 51, is a micro-entrepreneur living in the city of Cartagena with her spouse. She has had a restaurant business for five years. She offers typical dishes such as fish, rice, soups, and others.

Her idea for a business was born because she lives in a very commercial area, where many tourists, students, teachers, and others come. She began by selling soups to the merchants and workers in the area. Little by little, she expanded her business, and now she offers a variety of food items. This is her only source of income, and over the years, it has permitted her to manage a better quality of life. But due to the worldwide Covid-19 pandemic, her level of work declined and her income dropped drastically.

She is applying for her first Kiva loan with the Fundación Santo Domingo to invest in the purchase of meats, grains, flours, plastics and disposables, beverages, and other products for a new sales contract she obtained. Please support her loan for her business.
