A loan helped a member to purchase bags of corn, mustard, charcoal to strengthen her initial capital.

Gloria Group's story

Hermine is a client of the Hekima microfinance institution and the head of the village group Gloria. She is a widow, aged 55 years and the mother of 8 children, all of whom attend school.

She sells locally produced beverages. She started this business 20 years ago with her own startup funding. Later she joined the Hekima programme to support her business, during which time she evolved progressively.

With this new loan, she will purchase bags of corn, mustard and charcoal which will strengthen her initial capital. The challenge facing her business lies in the lack of customers.

She would like for her children to continue their studies and to renovate her house. Finally she would like to thank Hekima and its partners for the support they bring to buiness owners who don't have cash flow in this global crisis caused by covid-19.

The photo features only the leader of the group to respect the social distancing rules due to covid-19.
