02_Aminata Group's story

Since its creation, this group has been composed of supportive, dynamic women who are mainly active in small trade. They maintain good relationships amongst themselves. Aminata, in the photo, is 45, single and mother of three children including two boys. She is the representative of the group and alone in the photo as she is respecting the social distancing measures against Covid-19. She sells fruit juice and ice cream. She has a great deal of experience in this sector.
The loan will be used to buy cereals (baobab fruit, sorrel), some sugar and various other condiments that she will use for her business. She runs the business mainly in the primary school in the local neighbourhood. Her customer base is made up of school children.
With the profits that she will earn, she plans to boost her savings in the "banc villageois", cover her fees for the savings group and finally invest in her activities.
