A loan helped a member to purchase chairs and plates to strengthen her initial capital.

Amani Leo Group's story

Madame Veciane is a client of the MFI Hekima and leader of the groupe villageoise Amani Leo. She is 42 years old, married, and the mother of eight children, all of whom are in school. Her husband is a local government officer.

She sells various items. She started this business 11 years ago with startup funds she received from her husband. Later she joined the Hekima program to support her business, and she has been gradually improving since then.

With this new loan, she will purchase chairs and plates to strengthen her initial capital. The challenge for her business is due to lack of customers.

She would like for her children to continue their studies and she would also like to build a house. Lastly, she would like to thank Hekima and its partners for their support of non-bankable businesses during the global Covid-19 crisis.

The photo is of the group leader only to comply with Covid-19 social distancing measures.
