A loan helped to buy a vehicle for the use of her family and business.

Fokikovi's story

Fokikovi and her husband own and operate their little business of weaving and tapa making. She joins a group of women in their village, and once a week they gather and make tapas. She then spends the rest of the weekdays weaving. She weaves taovala, mats, and fihu, then sells it out to locals but mainly overseas customers. Fokikovi is very dedicated to her work, and she is making a good earning for her family. Her business operates very well and her husband gives her his full support. The only factor that usually causes problems for her business is transportation. Because they have no vehicle, they used to borrow the neighbor's vehicle but it does not always available. Fokikovi then decided to take a loan and purchase a vehicle since that is the only solution to her problem. She is going to use this loan to buy a new vehicle for her family and business. Improving her family's standard of living is her dream and she is working towards it.
