A loan helped to buy 500 chicks, bags of whole foods, and to save money to take care of his family.

Souleymane's story

Souleymane is a livestock farmer and a welder. He is married and the father of two children, both of whom go to school. He has been working in poultry farming and managing a welding workshop for more than 20 years in a neighborhood outside the capital.

He is on his sixth lending cycle with the IMF Yikri and paid back his fourth Kiva loan without difficulty. He is asking for a loan to buy 500 chicks and bags of whole foods with the goal of raising and reselling them at the right moment. He plans to use his profits to reinvest in his welding workshop and to save money to take good care of his family. He is asking everyone to protect themselves from the Covid-19 virus.
