A loan of $1,075 helped to stock her store with non-perishable goods.

Betty's story

Betty, 31, is a very hard-working woman. She lives in her own house, together with her husband and son. For over 9 years, she has sold food products and beers. At the beginning, she only sold beer and soft drinks, but little by little, she increased her merchandise. Today, she sells everything, and she adds to her income by preparing sauces and ground spices. Her store is located in a space inside her house, from which she provides her customers with quality service. She feels very happy with the business she has created, as it allows her to take care of her son. However, she has to transport the merchandise to her store, which is very difficult because the roads are under construction and it is not easy to reach her house.

Her future plan is to finish building her house. This is her fifteenth loan with Microfinanzas Prisma, and she promises to make all of her repayments, as she has been doing. Furthermore, she is the most committed member of her communal bank. With the requested loan, she will be able to increase her working capital, in order to stock her store and bring in more customers.
