Cesar's story

Cesar was born in the Pucyura district, Anta province in Cusco department and is 48 years old. Cesar lives together with his wife and their 3 children in Chinchero city.

Cesar works selling lollies, biscuits and many other things. He has a sales stand in the Chinchero market where he sells his products to national and international tourists who visit the archaeological zone of Chinchero. You can find him in his business 7 days a week, from 8 am to 4 pm or until the tourists have left the zone. Cesar also works at farming and agriculture.

With his next loan Cesar hopes to receives 2,000 nuevo soles. He wants to use the money to purchase livestock and merchandise.

The communal bank "Cusi Ccoyllor de Chinchero" is 2 years old and is functioning. Cesar has belonged to the communal bank for 2 years and he's doing very well. The name of this communal bank is a term in Quechua (the indigenous language) which means "Beautiful Princess de Chinchero".
