A loan helped to buy seeds, fertilizer, and plant protection products and to pay for labor.

Célestin's story

Célestin is married and 45 years old. He has 8 children, 3 of whom are already independent. He lives in a rural village. His family owns a home that is built of clay. He is a farmer and has been growing potatoes for over 20 years. He is also a mason.

He joined Vahatra to intensify his financial capital. He wants to multiply the land he has for farming and needs funds to do it. He is therefore asking for lenders' support to buy seeds, fertilizer, plant protection products and to pay for labor. He will sell his harvest at the town market and to collectors.

With his last loan, he was able to make construction bricks with the money he earned. With the next loan, he will put his profits into savings. He plans to buy a dairy cow later on.
