A loan helped a member to buy plates and fingerling fish to reinforce her initial capital.

Tuliya Group's story

Mme Julienne is a client of Hekima IMF and represents the "Tuliya" village group; she is married, 41 years old and mother to six children, all of whom attend school. Her partner works for a private company.
She sells food and a variety of other products; she founded this business 12 years ago with startup funds received from her husband. Later she involved the Hekima program to support her business, over the course of which she evolved progressively. With this new loan, she will buy plates and fingerling fish, which will reinforce her initial capital. The challenge for her business is related to a lack of clientele.
She would like for her children to continue to study, and also to feed her family. Finally, she wishes to thank Hekima and their partners for the support they bring to business owners without traditional banking access in the context of the global crisis linked to Covid-19. The photo is only of the group leader, to respect social distancing measures.
