A loan helped to buy three pigs, 634 kg of feed, as well as agricultural inputs for the farming of potatoes.

Tafitasoa's story

Tafitasoa is a 30 year old woman. She is in a relationship and has two children. The family lives in a rural village. Tafitasoa and her husband work in agriculture and pig farming. These occupations are the principal sources of revenue for the family. The profits cover expenses.

For the past three years, Tafitasoa has been able to improve the farming and livestock raising with the support of Vahatra. Vahatra granted her several loans of increasing amounts. She was able to multiply the number of pigs she raises and progressively enlargen the arable land. Revenue has improved as well as the family's living conditions.

Since the family's revenue is stable, Tafitasoa has decided to open up to future projects. She plans to build her own house since the family still lives in the familial residence. She plans to continue the growth of her businesses to gain more profit. She is asking for lenders to help her in the purchase of three pigs for fattening, 634 kg of feed, as well as 400 kg of potato seed, 25 carts of manure, and 95 kg of chemical fertilizer. She sells her products at the local market. Her profits will go towards savings for construction.
