A loan helped to purchase the ACE One hybrid energy system for cooking, lighting, and charging in a way that is safer, cleaner, and saves money.

Mahlomola's story

Mahlomola is a 36-year-old man who lives in a two-bedroom house with one other family member. He relies on self-employment and struggles with buying multiple fuels and insufficient income. He spends the highest amount of his energy expenses on electricity and other fuels, which cost up to 300 Lesotho lotis (LSL) per month. He also spends as much as one hour per day gathering fuel and fulfilling other energy needs such as phone charging.

Mahlomola bought the ACE One cookstove to help him and his family save the money spent every month on fuel and also help them access solar electricity to charge their mobile devices any time for free. The ACE One clean cookstove is biomass- and solar-powered. For more information on the ACE One cookstove, please visit www.africancleanenergy.com and Facebook @African Clean Energy.
