Anita's story

Anita B. lives in the village of Brgy. Paniki, Bagabag, Nueva Vizcaya. She is 39 years old, married and has four school-aged children. For the last seven years, she has made a living running a general store where customers can buy products they use daily such as shampoo, soap and toothpaste. She earns about 4,000 PHP a month from her work.

In 2008, Anita joined ASKI to gain access to financial services to help improve her life and ability to engage in business. She has successfully paid four previous loans from ASKI and is applying for a new one, for 10,000 PHP, to buy more items to sell to her customers. She plans to use the additional revenue generated by her business to improve her family's life.
