A loan of $550 helped to purchase well-balanced feed and to improve her business raising and selling animals.

Rosa Ysabel's story

Rosa is single, 25 years old, and lives with her parents in Mórrope, a district made up of a central village with various rural settlements spread out around it. It belongs to the province of Lambayeque and is located 40 minutes from the city of Chiclayo.

She runs a small business out of her house, selling animals that she raises herself (sheep, pigs, and caged birds). When her animals have reached a good level of development, she puts them up for sale to her neighbors or the merchants who frequent the area. This business provides her with the necessary income to take care of her aging parents.

Her business has been prospering and she now has a good number of sheep, but her earnings are not enough to feed them. This is why she is requesting a loan from Edpyme Alternativa. She is requesting a loan of 1,500 soles, which she will invest in the purchase of feed for her animals.

She hopes that her business will continue to grow, and would like to start a small farm to offer her and her family a better quality of life. She has worked with Kiva and Edpyme Alternativa before and she has demonstrated punctuality and responsibility in making her repayments. Rosa is grateful to the people who helped her with her previous loan.
