A loan of $1,075 helped for the educational expenses of her children.

Eugenia's story

Eugenia is 50 years old, married, and has six children. They live in the community of Villa Quintiarina, located in the Peruvian tropical jungle, in their own adobe home. Business-wise, she dedicates herself the selling of cacao, both in her own community as well as in other localities.

She is very content with her work, and for everything that she has managed to achieve to date. In addition, her sales have increased when compared to previous years. She usually works alongside her husband and, together, they make a good team. During vacations, she gets help from her children. During harvest time, however, she has laborers that help her extract and transport her final product to the supply centers so it can be sold.

Her plan for the future is to open a store, with the aim of diversifying her customer base to further improve her standard of living. This is her seventh credit with MFP, and she assures us she plans to faithfully comply with her payments. In addition, she is satisfied with her cooperative bank as it provides her with many benefits.

She plans to use the loan to invest in the educations of four children, and the rest will be used to improve her home.
