A loan of $725 helped buy agricultural supplies and fertiliser.

Antonio's story

37-year-old Antonio is married and has two children who attend school. They all live together in the community of Villa Quintiarina, located at the edge of the Peruvian jungle, in their own adobe house.
At an early age, Antonio discovered that he liked to manage things. Moreover, he wanted to manage his own business early on. Of course, owning a successful coffee business came through much sacrifice. He is grateful to his parents for teaching him good life lessons that have encouraged him to keep improving his agricultural business year after year. He mostly works on his own, but sometimes his wife helps out. At harvest time he hires labourers to pick the crops, which are later sold at local collection centres.
His plan for the future is to keep investing in his farming business, buying new land to increase his production. This is his fifth MFP loan, which he is committed to repaying on time. He’s very satisfied with his communal group since it allows him to improve his business. He plans to use this requested loan to buy agricultural supplies and fertiliser to look after his coffee crops.
