Fetu's story

Fetu is 57 years old and married with five children. She has a small plantation where she grows taro and bananas that she can sell in her community or at the market. She has been doing this for nine years. Fetu is a hardworking mother, strong and healthy. She has many customers due to her delicious products.

Fetu needs a loan to buy chemicals, fertilizer, a new wheelbarrow, a tiller, a rake, new gumboots, and a spade. This equipment will help her grow her business. Fetu will use the profits from her sales to pay for her family’s weekly expenses.

Fetu has been a member of SPBD since 2000. She slowly became successful when she joined the program and established a small business to help her family out of poverty and send her children to school.
