A loan helped a member to purchase more merchandise in medicine.

El Torogoz Group's story

Teresa del Carmen is 57 years old and lives with her spouse and 13-year-old daughter, who depends financially on the two of them.

Teresa has a small pharmacy, a business she learned very young with her family and of which today she is the owner. In her business, she has a high demand because she has a good location since it is also near the bus stops in her community. This allows her to generate income to help with the household responsibilities. For this, she wants to have more types of medicine to offer her customers.

For this reason, she asks for a loan to purchase more merchandise in medicine. With this investment, she hopes to also have more products available and necessary for her community and to improve her income.

She dreams of having a large business and a better future for herself and her family.

Teresa, Jose, Maria and Juan form the solidarity group El Torogoz. They are responsible and enterprising people who seek the same end of getting their families ahead.
