Rayito De Luna Group's story

Kateryn, age 23, is single and the mother of one child. She works in business. She makes and sells tortillas, "nacatamales" [typical tamales], and ground coffee, as well as herbaceous products (cumin, achiote, chamomile, rosemary, cotton etc.) She began the business three years ago with help from her parents.

She requests a loan from Fundenuse with Kiva funds to buy basic supplies and more herbaceous products. Her next goal is to continue investing in her business and to continue studying; in time, she wants to be able to buy a solar system and to build a house.

She is part of the communal bank “Rayito de Luna” with Kevin (who sells new and used clothing) and Auxiliadora (who makes and sells tortillas.)
