A loan of $1,200 helped operating capital to start a vegetable business.

Clorinda's story

Sra. Clorinda R. V. is 28 years old and lives with her three children in the community of Polígano in Mizque Province, Department of Cochabamba. The father of her children left five years ago to find work in Europe, but she has not heard anything from him since he left and does not know if he will return. She is saddened that he abandoned her and her children. Now she must support, care for, and feed her three children by herself.

Sra. Clorinda is admired and respected in the area where she lives because of her dedication to her children and her work. She works every day by helping in neighbors’ fields so that she can earn some money to support her children. Clorinda is requesting a loan to open a vegetable business in town. This will enable her to have more income so that she can provide her children with a better quality of life and the opportunity to attend a school with better conditions. The loan will be a great help with the hard work she puts in to benefit herself and her children.
