A loan helped a member to buy seeds for his field in order to sell more at harvest time.

Benkadi Group's story

Bakary is the one representing the group in the photo because of COVID. He is a 42 year old, married Malian, who was not schooled and has 9 children. His wife is a housewife.

Bakary uses the RMCR to be able to carry out his market gardening business. He buys seeds and fertilisers in the surrounding villages after harvesting and sells them at the public markets.

The profit he earns will allow him to cover some of his family's expenses, such as his children's medical expenses and household condiments. He has a good reputation in the village.

In the future, he would like to have a bigger loan to buy more seeds in order to increase his business.

In this group: Daouda, Bakary, Makan, Nouman, Fousseni, Moussa Bajoukou, Fousseni, Sekou
