A loan helped to purchase the ACE One hybrid energy system for cooking, lighting and charging in a way that is safer, cleaner and saves money.

Mokheseng's story

Mokheseng is a 39-year-old man who lives in a two-bedroom house with one child, without access to electricity.

Mokheseng works as a driver but struggles with buying multiple fuels and insufficient income. He spends most of his energy expenses on gas and paraffin, which costs up to LSL 340 per month. He also spends as much as one hour per day gathering fuel and fulfilling other energy needs like phone charging.

Mokheseng bought the ACE-1 cookstove to help him and his family save the money spent every month on fuel and also help them access solar electricity for charging their mobile devices any time for free.

The ACE-1 clean cook-stove is biomass and solar-powered. For more information on the ACE1 cook stove please visit www.africancleanenergy.com and Facebook @African Clean Energy.

This loan is special because:

It provides communities with energy saving cookstoves that also reduce pollution.
